stinky cheese

every year christina and her parents have a party that they call "stinky cheese".
they invite everyone and anyone, so it was a very mixed crowd. they make some kind of stinky cheese in the fireplace, so i almost burned off my eyebrows, but the cheese was yummy, so i was fine with that.

once again carson, will, and mike had a holiday party at their house in la jolla.

the grove

the grove is the most magical place in LA during the holidays.
they put up beautiful decorations , tons and tons of lights, there is santa's house, and it even snows there!! i went with laurie, christina, lisa, and sally to see the festivities.
i'm really surprised that we didnt make it in US weekly, because they always put in pics of celebrities at the grove. here are the few shots that we got...

jackrabbit soiree

so there is this huge fancy holiday party in scottsdale every year, where 600 people attend and there is a red carpet. the guys that throw the bash are friends with anna and christina, they have been going for the past 5 years. they they brought be and their roommate laurie along on the roadtrip to the jackrabbit soiree, krista came up from tucson also. i packed my falsie eyelashes and we all had ourselves a marvelous little weekend.

two zero zero nine

i usually dont make new years resolutions, but for some reason this year, I'm breaking my usual mold. i hate how people make crazy resolutions and never keep them. these are just things i want to work on. i want to keep the expectations low, so i dont disappoint.

1. be more crafty
i always walk into a store and say: "i can make this", "i can make that". i'm going to start taking action and putting my hands to work.

2. faster response time
i'm the worst at responding to emails, phone calls, texts, just about any kind of correspondence. i'm not saying that i'm going be perfect about it, but just a little better than i am now.

3. learn how to wear makeup
being 25, you would think that i would be able to apply makeup without looking like a tranny, but thats not the case. i need to learn some tricks of the trade.

ice skating

the gals all decided to get in the holiday spirit and go ice skating in santa monica. we got all bundled up and warmed up for our axels and toe loops.
ben was in town form SF for work, so he tagged along with us. this was perfect timing for him to visit, because i dont like to go ice skating without someone to hold my hand

dear adorable city of venice,
oh how much i love you. a smorgasbord of hippies, artists, and crazies. such a distinct community with a special sense of self. you are kinda out of the way for me, but i'm going to visit whenever i can. thank you for letting us rent beach cruisers and ride along the beach.
