yachting

a (blank) amount of time ago christina got a crew together and chartered a yacht for the day.  it might not have been a "yacht" as much as a large boat, but i dont know too much about boats, so in my eyes it was a yacht.  it was a gorgeous day on the water after a week of torrential rain in los angeles.  can you imagine how fun this could be?!? it was just that, you should be jealous.  it was mostly girls with a few boys thrown in the mix.  we partied like rockstars, pretty much jay-z and beyonce will be begging to go on our next trip out to sea.

got myself a disposable camera to tide me over.  

turns out i love it and i'm not sure i want another digital. 

(...thats not really true.  i want a really awesome teeny tiny new digital.)

i'm not giving up my disposables though, i love them too much.  i got one last year to take to big bear and remembered how awesome they are. 
everyone is jealous of me. i think my sisters are embarrassed, but i'm not. mama thinks i'm silly and keeps telling me to go out and get myself a new one.  i will eventually, but i'm not ready yet.

i'll be up up and away

so we are well into 2010, my life is changing, thus my little bloggie is changing also.  

i'm sorry to say that my precious journal isnt getting any attention, but thats going to have to be ok {for now}.  since i have taken on my second {dreamy} job with the uber cute ban.do, things have gotten pretty awesome for me at levi's as well.  i feel like i'm trying to step up my game and really become the badass that i want to be.  working almost everyday and trying to enjoy time off,  i'm beyond exhausted all the time, but i think i'm happy.  i'm trying to get into a groove with my work schedule and have a social life, friends, and family all at the same time.  this whole "adult life" stuff is hard, sure wish they would teach you that in college. 

the downside to all of this is that i have no time/inspiration for reading and other hobbies, i'm battling insomnia, my camera died, i am clueless about any new music, and i'm always in dire need for a manicure. 

to balance it out, i'm researching/reading/learning tons of fashion stuff, found an awesome calendar template to make my scheduling easier, making an effort to make plans with friends, and most importantly dying my hair blondie {thanks cody} !!

so, i will probably continue my infrequent posting, but i will try to make it worth your {and my} time.

breakfast for every meal

jen, bri and i went out for dinner to talk about work stuff.  we ended up eating breakfast for dinner {which is obviously becoming a trend for me}.  i'm not sure if we actually got any work done, but we told really funny jokes, talked about really awesome things, and ate lots and lots of food.

january is a pretty big amongst my friends.  it seems like they are one after another {probably because they are actually one after another}.  i dont have pictures of all of them, but happy birthday to all of my january babies.

2009 final page count

the year is over and i've cut off my reading for 2009. 

i've finished the year at a total of 8,843

i just barely read more than last year, but i still beat it!! i'm really proud of myself, but it was really hard to do.  i'm already off to a horrible start for 2010, better get to reading!!

baby harlow

i got to spend the day with baby harlow, and sure did love it.

i just know we are going to be the best of friends. i mean we were wearing the same outfit when we met up today, and we both love ourselves an oversized bow!! she is the cutest little babe and is a total angel, so well behaved. 

 eric and jess tagged along, and i guess they were kinda fun too.  i'm so happy to have my cousins living in california and cant wait to have another playdate soon!!

coachella

it was decided today, mk is going to her first coachella this year!!

i'm going to try to get over my social anxiety and aversion to severe heat for the weekend and enjoy the killer line up.  i'm starting to prepare now by drinking lots of water and picking out some cute outfits ... cause lets be honest, it's gonna be a fashion show out there.
